Soil pH affects tree growth
Optimal pH ranges from 5.5 to 7 and can go up to 8.5
Excess salinity reduces tree growth and crop yield
Water Requirements
Grapefruit trees are evergreen
They require a continuous and regular water source
Irrigation water should be free of harmful salts
Such as sodium chloride, magnesium oxide, and boron salts
Avoid heavy watering during flowering to prevent flower drop
Light, frequent irrigation is recommended during flowering and fruit set until fruit reaches chickpea size
